The fruit diet: detoxifying and draining

The fruit-only diet involves the consumption of varied fresh fruit, divided into about 6 portions a day for a total of about 1.5 kg per day. This quantity corresponds to about 8 g of proteins, 0.9 g of lipids, 390 g of glycides, and provides about 1600 calories: it is, therefore, a low-calorie diet.

You can also follow partial mono diets, that is, replacing breakfast with a ration of the chosen fruit, to be eaten raw. Each fruit has specific properties that we will see in the next pages.

Pros and cons of the fruit-based diet

Pros: it has a diuretic and alkalizing effect, so it is good in case of acidosis, a decompensation that leads to an accumulation of acids in the body. The causes of this imbalance are various: they range from the wrong diet, too rich in proteins, animal fats, and sweets to the consequences of infections, diseases, dehydration, dysentery, and vomiting, which cause you to lose many fluids and minerals such as sodium bicarbonate, without that the organism has the opportunity or time to recover them.

Cons: it has the defect of almost completely abolishing proteins and lipids while providing many carbohydrates. Therefore it should not be followed in case of diabetes and arteriosclerosis.

Being an unbalanced diet, it is advisable to follow it for no more than 5 days, after which it is necessary to gradually reintroduce the other foods belonging to the other food groups.

Indicated: in case of overweight, need to purify, fight inflammation.

Contraindicated: in case of diarrhea.
